“Rejuvenate your skin to reveal a younger you”

What is Microdermabrasion and what does it treat?

A safe, quick and convenient procedure that treats rough, dry, congested and aging skin by gently exfoliating and rejuvenating your skin. Suitable for all skin types.

Removes dead and damaged skin cells that give the appearance of a dull, lifeless complexion. Leaves your skin looking brighter and glowing.

Products for your skin will absorb better and work more efficiently after one treatment. Microdermabrasion combined with a facial is a delightful way to treat your skin.

How does it work?

The skin is gently exfoliated with a controlled jet of micro-fine crystals to loosen dead and damaged skin cells. Crystals and skin cells are simultaneously vacuumed away leaving behind brighter and smoother skin. Microdermabrasion also promotes the growth of healthy new skin cells and stimulates collagen and elastin.

What to expect during treatment?

Your face will be cleansed prior to treatment. During treatment you will feel the crystals, like very fine sandpaper, on your face, and a slight tugging from the vacuum. After treatment, products suitable for your skin type are applied to nourish and protect. Treatments take 15-40 minutes, depending on the area treated.

How much downtime?

Little to no downtime, depending on whether you have a light, medium or deep microdermabrasion.

Our skin care specialist will evaluate your skin and recommend the most appropriate microderm.

Slight redness that may appear after deeper microderms will go away in 2-12 hours.

What areas can be treated?

Face, neck, chest, hands and back.

How many treatments are required?

  • An improvement will be experienced from the first treatment.
  • To achieve optimum results, a series of 4-6 treatments are recommended every 7-14 days.
  • Monthly maintenance treatments will allow you to keep the results that you have achieved.
  • A consultation with Dr. Andre Kirsten will determine how Microdermabrasion can help with your concerns.
